Positive Discipline – Update

I received a lot of positive feedback on the Positive Discipline series.  Many of you were interested in integrating the technique into your life or school.  The best way to learn more is to participate in a class.  Luckily for you Mary Lynn has decided to start a local class and sent me the following today.

Mary Lynn Fiske - Certified Positive Discipline Educator

Mary Lynn Fiske – Certified Positive Discipline Educator

Are you engaged in power struggles with your children?  Is it hard to get cooperation or help with chores?  Are mealtimes and bedtime troublesome?  Do your children have difficulty getting out the door to school in the morning?  Do battles happen over homework?  Or are you simply looking to raise a grounded, capable person?

Come learn how to solve everyday challenges, develop respectful relationships and find solutions that are right for your family.  Positive Discipline classes provide parents with non-punitive methods to encourage and empower children, and to help them develop important life skills.  This trial class is for parents of elementary school children.

We’ll meet from 10 am to 11.30 a.m. on Saturday 17 October at the Creative Arts Studio, 310 Atlantic Avenue near Smith St.
